Ayesha Ahmad is a Dublin based photographer and visual artist. She graduated with First Class Honours in a BA in Photography in IADT, Dun Laoghaire (2018-2022). She was the youngest artist in the FEAR Exhibition in August 2016. She was also featured as one of the five Irish, female photographers to follow in IMAGE Magazine and one of ten up and coming contemporary photographers in Ireland, in an article by The Culture Trip. Her work also featured in the A/W 16 issue of V&A Magazine.

She created and curated her first solo photography exhibition titled, ‘Epoch', in collaboration with the Dublin Fringe Festival, in 2018. This was exhibited in Filmbase in Temple Bar from the 8-23 September 2018.

Ayesha is working alongside the National Gallery of Ireland in collaboration with their Apollo Project and is a member of the NGI Youth Panel.

Her photographic series ‘Ashlawn Lady’ was part of a commission for RTE’s Illumination Project, 2020. This was a national TV and billboard campaign.

Ayesha spoke on a panel discussion hosted by Mike Trow - former Photo Editor British Vogue, as part of the Belfast Photo Festival 2020 alongside fellow speakers Linda Brownlee and Megan Doherty.

She is one of the Apollo Project’s Young Curator’s involved in the curation of the Boring Art? Exhibition in the National Gallery, October 2021- January 2022.

Ayesha was the youngest of 13 artists in SATURATION Exhibition, a group photography exhibition curated by Dawn Williams and William Laffan in the Crawford Gallery, Cork. January 2022- June 2022.

Her ongoing series ‘Blue Hour’, which was created as her grad show project, was exhibited as part of the ‘Images Are All We Have’ Exhibition for Photo Ireland Festival 2022.

Ayesha is a recipient of the inaugural RADAR Research And Development Artist Residency with Photo Ireland and Inspirational Arts, 2022.

Ayesha is a spotlighted creator for the latest Vodafone X Campaign, which she also photographed in 2022.

‘Shut Your Eyes And See- Dubliners Now’ group exhibition at Hillsboro Fine Art Gallery 8th June- 8th July 2023.

In 2023-24 Ayesha was a recipient of the Agility Award from the Arts Council of Ireland.

Ayesha’s project ‘Blue Hour’ received international recognition as she represented Ireland in the Contemporary Venice 13th Edition Exhibition at Palazzo Abrizzi- Capello. December 2023-January 2024.
